Saint Louis is a musician and songwriter living in the south of France and who’s worked around London and Paris for two decades. He officiates on stages or in studios, among his soul sisters and brothers—artists, musicians, painters and poets. After having nourished his indulgences with a number of different multidisciplinary artistic endeavors and self-produced albums, he embarked on his single-handed voyage two years ago.
Ever since, he’s been letting his pop romanticism roam free all through a folk music swept along with arrangements that are sometimes choral, sometimes flowery, whose meticulous aesthetics draw an architecture shrouded in nostalgia. Mischievously mixing gospel and hippy, a warm and delicate timbre under a languorous pen borrowed from Californian songwriters of the 70s, Saint Louis emanates an air of forbidden loves, glorious adventures, and angelic troubles “sur fond d’azur de Louisiane”.
In 2019, he set off on the creation of a first bouquet of five songs, which he christened “Philters EP” and from which comes the single “The Divine Arrow” which was acclaimed by the press. The general isolation of the following year prompted him to expand the record to album format, whose release is set for 2022.

Saint Louis est un musicien-auteur vivant dans le sud de la France qui œuvre de Paris à Londres depuis deux décennies. Il officie sur scènes ou en studio, parmi ses sœurs et frères d’âmes, artistes musiciens, peintres ou poètes. Après qu’il ait nourri sa gourmandise sous une multitude d’entités artistiques, en cumulant les disciplines et les albums auto-produits, il se révèle seul marin à bord voilà deux ans.
Il laisse alors librement fantasmer son romantisme pop, au fil d’une folk emportée par des arrangements tantôt chorals ou fleuris, dont l’esthétique minutieuse dessine une architecture voilée de nostalgie. Mêlant malicieusement des ensembles Gospels et Hippies, un timbre chaud et délicat, sous une plume langoureuse empruntée aux songwriters californiens des 70’s, Saint Louis nous parfume d’un air d’amours interdites, de glorieuses aventures, et de troubles angéliques « sur fond d’azur de Louisiane ».
En 2019, Il se destine un premier bouquet de cinq chansons qu’il baptise « Philters EP » et dont sera extrait un unique single, salué par la presse, « The Divine Arrow ». L’isolement général de l’année suivante le poussera à élargir le disque jusqu’au format album. Sa sortie est prévu pour 2022.
